FAQ'S

  • HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO GET TATTOOED?

The law is 18 years of age.  No exceptions.  A valid, government issued, photo ID is required.

  • DO I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?                                                                          Yes. Until further notice, we are operating by appointment only.  Please contact the shop via email or phone to schedule accordingly.  Please do NOT stop by the shop without an appointment.

  • CAN I BRING FRIENDS/FAMILY WITH ME TO MY APPOINTMENT?                            No.  For the safety and focus of all, we ask clients to attend their appointments alone.  No friends, family, children, etc.  This policy helps us manage crowd size, assures we have plenty of parking, and provides a more focused tattooing experience.  We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

  • HOW MUCH DOES A TATTOO COST?

The artists charge $200 per hour (+tax).

The minimum charge is $100 (+tax).

  • CAN I GET AN ESTIMATE?

Although a consultation is sometimes necessary, many times the artists can give an estimate on average size tattoos once they have seen the design and have some information about it.  Please feel free to email us your design.  Please include the size you would like the tattoo to be, where you want the tattoo on your body, and a detailed description of any changes you would like made to the design.  Please do NOT stop by.  Until further notice, and due to the changes brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, only persons with an appointment are allowed in the shop.

  • WHAT IF I JUST HAVE A QUESTION, OR WANT TO MAKE A QUICK APPOINTMENT, ETC.?

We do NOT allow anyone who does not have an appointment to come into the shop.  Please call the shop or email with any questions you have.  All scheduling will be done via phone as well.  Portfolios can be viewed here on the website, on our Instagram page, and each artist has their own Instagram page as well.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

  • DO YOU TAKE A DEPOSIT FOR MY APPOINTMENT? HOW DO DEPOSITS WORK?

Yes.  Deposits ensure that the artists are at least minimally compensated if you cancel, change your mind, or don’t show up.  You may reschedule your appointment without penalty as long as we receive a minimum of 48 hours notice so the artist has a chance to fill the opening with another client.  Deposits are $100 (+tax).  Deposits are not an additional charge; they are deducted from the cost of the tattoo when the tattoo is completed. Deposits are NOT REFUNDABLE.

  • WHAT IS A CONSULTATION APPOINTMENT? DO I NEED ONE?

Consultations are a meeting (free of charge) with the artist of your choice to discuss your ideas, get your questions answered, and come up with a “game plan” for your tattoo.  If you need assistance combining images, or developing your ideas into a final design, the artists will want to have a consultation, before booking tattoo time.  Consultations are also mandatory for people who have existing tattoos they would like to rework, add to, or cover-up.  If you are not sure that you need a consultation, please call or email and we will figure it out.

  • DO YOU ALLOW CHILDREN IN THE SHOP?

No.  No one (of any age) is allowed to accompany you to your appointment.  Only the person receiving the tattoo will be allowed in the shop.  There are NO exceptions to this.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

  • CAN YOU TATTOO OVER SCARS?

If your scar is well healed, the artists can usually tattoo over it; although the results may vary depending on the scar. The artists require that you have a consultation first, so they can advise you on the results you can expect.

  • IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO DO BEFORE I COME TO MY APPOINTMENT?

The best thing you can do is be well rested, well fed, and well hydrated when you come in for your appointment.  Wear comfortable clothing that allows the artist easy access to the spot you’re getting tattooed.  If you show up to your appointment intoxicated, you will be turned away and your deposit will be forfeit.

  • WHAT IF I HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION OR I’M PREGNANT OR NURSING? CAN I STILL GET TATTOOED?

If you are pregnant or nursing, the artists cannot tattoo you. If your immune system and/or ability to heal is compromised, or you are on a blood-thinning medication, or you take prophylaxis before going to the dentist, we strongly suggest that you speak with your doctor first, for your own safety. Also, if you have a skin condition, especially around the area you are getting tattooed, please speak with you doctor first. If you are sunburned in the area you are getting tattooed, the artists cannot tattoo you.

The artists use a hospital grade disinfectant to disinfect all surfaces in their work area, and also renew their bloodborne pathogen awareness certificates annually. Any equipment that is allowed to be re-used is first hand scrubbed, then mechanically scrubbed, and ultimately sterilized in an autoclave.
